Patty Basemi

Ever since she was a little girl, Patty loved to create. Throughout all my years in school, she took all the creative classes offered and loved every single one of them. She enjoys painting, needlepoint, and just about everything handmade. Patty discovered quilting when she was expecting her daughter, and Patty instantly fell in love with it. She loved playing with color and prints to transform quilts into her own, unique creations. Three years later, my mom opened up a quilting studio and I became obsessed with searching for fabric! Little did I know this would lead me to find my calling- a surface pattern designer. 

Born in Mexico but raised near the beautiful beaches of Miami, Patty lives with her wonderful husband and three children, Barbara, Santiago, and Emiliano. Her happy place is at the beach, and you can always find her designing, reading, painting, or gardening. She loves butterflies, ice cream and sunny days, and she often finds most of her inspiration in the moments she shares with her children. It’s a dream come true to see her designs out in the world, and she hopes they put a smile on your face, just like they did to Patty when she created them.
